The Key to Your Dream Home!

So I haven't posted anything on this yet, but I probably should've awhile ago.  So when I got pregnant with Brooklynn, we knew that me not working wasn't really an option with our financial situation.   And, with the job that I currently had, there was no way for me to work from home or be able to work only after Brandon got home from work.  So, we started brainstorming.  One day real estate came to mind.  I realized that I have really always loved real estate but never really gotten into it, and I would be able to work from home, schedule clients according to my schedule, and it would be SO much happier than the job I was currently doing (working with CPS and parents that had gotten kids taken away, depressing all the time).  So, I became an assistant for an agent and prepared to start taking real estate classes.

I had Brooklynn in December, started classes in January, got licensed and started working for Keller Williams in March, and now I am absolutely loving what I do.  It is so great to help those people get the home they are looking for and see their faces light up when they find "the one".  However, one of the BEST things about my job, is I get to stay home with my daughter and play with her all day andbe there for her when she needs me.  It is the best feeling ever.

It's interesting because before she was born, I thought that it wouldn't be a big deal to be away from her for 6 to 8 hours if I had to.  I could take her to a babysitter when I needed to, get my work done, and pick her up later.  But, when she was born, that all changed.  The first time I left her for two hours and had SUCH a hard time!  I am getting better now but more than 6 hours...yeah can't do it.  So it really is the best to be home with this cutie patootie!

Halloween 2013

Halloween was very laid back this year but we had tons of fun taking our little ladybug around to get candy for us to eat!  Haha.  She had no idea what was going on.  She did like chewing the wrappers though!  This year we went to a pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins.  It was so fun!  I haven't been to a pumpkin patch in so long!!!  We got to pull a wagon around to pick our pumpkins and it was just so cute.  We got five because they had a really good deal if you bought five.  Any size 5 for $20.  Then we went to Cocoa Bean and got hot chocolate :)  Fun family night!

We of course carved our pumpkins the night before because we wait till the last minute like that :).  Last year Brandon came home at lunch on Halloween and we carved them.  Haha.  My pumpkin was probably one of the best that I have done so far.  I was so excited!  

We went to Brandon's work on Wednesday the 30th to go trick or treating there.  They deck out the building and each department is decorated with a different theme.  After we went through we went to lunch with some friends.

Thursday we went to Keller Williams' Trick or Treating and the agent's decorated their offices and handed out candy.  Brooklynn was a ladybug and I dressed up as well as a butterfly.  I wanted Brandon to dress up but he wasn't really up for it.  Oh and just ignore the beard.  He started no shave November in the middle of October!  After that we were going to go to a trunk or treat but it was FREEZING that day and we weren't up for being out in the cold, especially when Brooklynn didn't care.  So, I made taco soup and we handed out candy.  We got a lot more trick or treaters this year than we did last year.  Much more fun.  That night we visited Brandon's parents and his grandma and then went back home and had a relaxing rest of the night.  Very fun filled day!

She kept going over to the window and looking out, waiting for people to come to the door.  She would be there for a little bit, then come back to the toys, then someone would know and get candy and leave, then she would crawl back to the window and look out again.  She was so dang funny!

There was stuffing in her outfit so every time she would crawl her bum would look huge and move all over.  I laughed every time I saw her crawling!

She's Cruisin!

So Brooklynn is now officially 10 months old.  She is getting that toddler look, and no longer has that baby face or features.  She is a major mooch and if she sees that you have food, she will immediately crawl right up to you and stare at you till you feed her.  It's kind of hilarious really.  She sleeps through the night almost every night, in bed by 8:00 pm and awake around 7:30 pm.  We are truly spoiled.  She is such a good baby.  I am somewhat worried to have another because I am worried that the next one will be completely opposite of my current little munchkin.  But, when that time comes I will be ready, I suppose.  DEFINITELY not now, but someday! :)  I can't believe that I need to start planning her 1st birthday party!  Love her so much!
